Each county's official recording office is responsible for recording all deeds, mortgages, UCCs, judgments, etc. for the county. After review and approval the original notarized deed is recorded in the register of deeds office. Typically, the original copy of the deed is indexed, probated, electronically scanned, and stored once it has been filed. The original copy is then returned back to the originating title company.
